RULES 1.Fabric: Must be first quality, not necessarily pre-washed and ironed 100% cotton. Colors are your own choice but yoyu must use a large floral for the centre square , a light small print for the background and a bright small to medium geometric or foral fabric . These fabrics MUST be repros of mid 19th century fabrics. If you are not sure mail me and I will have a look . 2.Pattern: we will be making 9" 9-patch blocks and/or 9" Ohio star blocks so that they can combine . My idea is to set them on points with alternate blocks 3.Sign Up: Sign up by Januuary 10th by completing the form below or emailing Kelly and myself. We sometimes cross check our lists . Sign up once per set so that we don�t get mixed up. Make sure to include your full name, e-mail address, full snail address, and number of blocks you anticipate swapping. I will respond with my snail mail address to mail your blocks to. 4.Size of block: Block size is to be 9" finished (9.5" unfinished). 5.Due Date: Very important! The blocks must be in my hands by February 28th 6.Number of Blocks: We are swapping in sets of 12 of the same block.You can make a set of 9 patch and a set of Ohio Star BUT not 6 of each to make a set of 12. You may send only one set of each pattern. 7.Packaging: Please put a label with each block (self stick is ok -- NO pins!). Do not put the blocks in individual bags. . Put all the blocks into a large Ziploc baggie with "to" and "from". 8 Postage. For American swappers ,Please send a SASE to you American hostess and Put the same postage in *stamps* on your return mailer as you used to mail to her. The post office will not accept metered postage on the return envelope. . Kelly will also have to send me the blocks that will be swapped here so she will tell you what kind of compensation she expects from you . On this side of the Atlantic things were difficult for the tea cup swap .So I will ask you to send me in advance the International reply coupons . I have a postal chart and will be able to work out the cost for each one of you. We all live in different countries and the EC has not mentioned unfying the postal services. Anyway , please don�t use bubble envelopes or cardboard envelopes. They are heavy, and the blocks will be in plastic bags anyway. Insufficient return postage will delay your swapped blocks being returned to you!! Blocks that do not meet the guidelines will be returned unswapped or be kept for charity (The stars could be used for Turkey.)
